COLLECTIONS

Collections allows a player to purchase unlockable items to further enhance the gameplay experience of Resident Evil: Outbreak. As you play, you’ll unlock features in the Collection for purchase. Some features have conditions to unlock while others are pretty straightforward. Items unlocked in Collections require Result Points to purchase. Result Points are earned by playing the scenarios and completing them without dying or quitting (playing on Infinity Mode severely reduces points earned).

​Earning enough Result Points requires multiple playthroughs in order to purchase everything. By completing the scenarios as fast as possible while also completing as many scenario events as possible you can maximize the amount of Result Points earned. Earning the “No Damage Clear” and “No Weapon Clear” bonuses also help to increase the amount of points earned at the completion of the scenario. Network Play Mode rewards players with more points than playing in Single Play Mode. For players starting out, it is suggested to focus on saving your Result Points for items in the Costume and Extra sections first before spending the points on other items.

GALLERY

Gallery consists of purchasable images from drawings, pre-renders, CGs, illustrations, and concept arts. Some images require you to complete the scenario once or find all the scenario specific Special Items (or character-specific) in order to unlock the items. Some items require that you use a character a certain number or times, use all the characters to complete a scenario, or on complete scenarios certain difficulties. It is suggested you avoid purchasing items from the Gallery until you have unlocked and purchased all the items from Costume and Extra sections first.

COSTUME

Costumes allows you purchase newer costumes for the main cast, including using the NPCs from the scenario. Unlocking NPCs normally requires the player to complete a scenario using a specific character or on a particular difficulty. Some are tied to scenario events and others require you to have found all Special Items or character -specific items. Items under Costume are pricey, so a player will have to save a large amount of Result Points in order to purchase the extra costumes. If you have access to Resident Evil: Outbreak File#2 and have purchased any of the costumes and transfer the data over to Resident Evil: Outbreak, you can instantly unlock the costumes and immediately use them without having to meet the prerequisites.

Cutscenes for Collections are unlocked by completing the scenario. Some specific scenes are tied to completing the scenario as particular characters. Some movies have conditions other than completing the scenario as a specific character. Movie items are cheap and easy to purchase. However, not all scenes will be available for purchase and can only be viewed through actual game play.

Sounds includes all the music used in a scenario and as well extra music from modes outside the scenarios. You can also listen to some of the audio Ad-Libs from the characters by finding all of their respective Special Items. Bear in mind that the character voices only play a few of their Ad-Libs since each character actually has over 900 audio files.

Extra unlocks harder difficulties and other modes once you have met the prerequisites for their unlocks. Items under Extra are what newer players should focus on purchasing before spending their Result Points on anything else mostly for Lone Wolf Mode since this can remove the AIPCs for Single Play Mode.
